A project under the auspices of Bacalao Forum (FHL) and Ålesund University College will look at how today's drying of clipfish can be made more efficient, among other things by a higher degree of automation in the drying process, reports the Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Fund. The objective of the project is to investigate whether there are opportunities for streamlining and changes in the current drying system so that the production of clipfish at all stages becomes more cost-effective and labor-efficient. Initially, the focus will be on how the internal transport of clipfish, process monitoring / ICT and the actual drying can be optimized.
