The main goal of the project was to map the possibilities for developing a technology where thick fish bones in whitefish are automatically picked one by one. A concept has been outlined which it is recommended to develop further in an industrial project. The concept is based on rotating pipe knives and fluorescence imaging. The sub-goals in the project description were set with regard to achieving this main goal. Along the way, the project has revealed new opportunities, which means that the achievement of some sub-goals was prioritized over others, so that the main goal was achieved in the best possible way.
