BlueBio is an ERA-NET COFUND created to directly identify new and improve existing ways of bringing bio-based products and services to the market and find new ways of creating value from in the blue bioeconomy.

The goal of the project is to demonstrate scientifically the safety status of Icelandic seafood and thereby promote ensure the income from their export in the future. This will be done by describing and identifying the relevant hazard or risk which will comprise the risk profile for seafood and by using food safety risk calculation tool in order to rank the risk and perform semi-quantitative risk assessment.
