The aim of this project is to collect more detailed data about the factors influencing the quality of the Icelandic cod, like chemical composition (nutrients, undesirable substances), fillet quality through the processing and the condition of the liver. All these factors will be traced to data about fishing ground, season of fishing, sex, sexual maturity and others in order to understand how it is possible to maximize the value of the catch.
