The MolBiPack project's general objective is to develop methodologies and packaging that contribute to the improvement of the packaging, transport and packaging processes for bivalve molluscs, from capture to marketing, thus contributing to the valorization of bivalve molluscs produced in Portugal, through: i ) the preservation and improvement of the biochemical composition of bivalve molluscs; ii) improving the organoleptic characteristics of bivalves; iii) the reduction in mortality during the processes between harvesting and marketing; and iv) the increase in the shelf life of commercialized bivalves.
