Start year 2007 End year 2008 Funding (€) € 626,800 Website https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/44178 Summary The goal of the project is to define the research required in the medium term (10 years), to enable exploitation and farming of aquatic resources in the context of key challenges and risks for meeting sustainability requirements. The main output of this exercise will be a publication outlining the key challenges, strategic options and research needs concerning fisheries and aquaculture in both European waters and waters in which European fleets are operating under European agreements. The project will contribute to the implementation of a future Maritime Policy and to further strengthen the European Marine Research Area through better anticipation of research needs in the field of fisheries and aquaculture.
