The current proposal outlines a new approach and technology to harvest copepods in the ocean. The idea is to, with the help of air bubbles, bring the target species up to the ocean surface, hence minimising the by-catch of other marine organisms. Concentrating the copepods at the surface should also enable a more energy efficient method of collection.
