The project will design, test and document a new trawl construction. • The trawl will significantly reduce the catch of small shrimp and other unwanted by-catch. • The trawl will also reduce energy costs as a result of easier water flow resulting in less towing resistance. • The trawl should provide increased safety through better maneuverability when used in strong currents. • The trawl must minimize the fisherman's manual work with sorting the catch by reducing the amount of unwanted by-catch
