The project's main objective is the development and introduction of new technical and organizational knowledge aimed at a more sustainable use of living biological resources - aimed at reducing bycatch and increasing the selectivity of fishing gear. Goals: 1) conduct an updated analysis of the characteristics of richness in species, abundance of the fish community present in the lagoon, also in relation to the type of tools and methods used where possible; 2) identify the areas most depleted in species of commercial interest and potentially repopulated with bycatch (kept alive in an open circuit and eco-compatible system of underground tanks); 3) evaluate the microbiota associated with bycatch and determine how waste can generate positive effects on ecosystem services; 4) introduce more effective trapping techniques that are more selective both in terms of species and size; 5) provide guidelines for the drafting of a "Regional regulation of fishing in the inland waters of the lagoon of Lesina.
