The aim of the research project is to develop and prepare a codend with improved selective and protective properties for implementation in Baltic cod fisheries. A large part of the belly will be made of meshes turned 90°. Goals: (1) To design a trawl with T90 bellyend; (2) Comparison two fishing gears; one typical (standard for Polish Baltic Sea fisheries - with diamond meshes) and gear with T90 bellyend; (3) to check protective and technical properties of both trawl gears, during fishing on research and commercial fishing vessels.
