In this subproject we will continue with the study of genes that were characterized in the previous agl project to understand their role in the priming of the innate immunity (iti). Also, we will study other genes, not tipically understood as immune genes, but with a critical role on metabolism. Metabolic reprogramming of innate cells conected with epigenetic changes may influence the unespecific memory of leucocytes. Therefore, we will analyze the interphase between metabolism and immunity to improve our understanding of the potential iti memory in two fish species: turbot (a marine fish species with a high economical value) and zf as a model. Also, we will try to understand how transcriptomic modulations are affected by immune priming and how other non-coding regions (lncrna and microrna) may be related. In fish, there are only a few articles on the role these molecules but nothing is known about their relation with the immune response51. The objetives are: i) to understand the involvement of immune and metabolic genes in the priming and antiviral activity of turbot and zf. Ii) to study the lncrnas and micrornas associated with iti, and iii) to understand epigenetic reprogramming in iti.
