The main goal of the project was to investigate how dietary levels of phosphorus (P) in freshwater and seawater affected bone health in farmed salmon, with the main focus on combination effects between levels in fresh and seawater and the effect of temperature in seawater. This project was a collaboration between the Institute of Marine Research, Nofima, University of Ghent, Skretting and Marine Harvest, and the feeding experiment was carried out at Lerang Research Station in Skretting ARC. The project was funded by the Fisheries and Aquaculture Research Fund (FHF).
