Preliminary documentation has been carried out that current pulses appear to contribute to a reduction in the load of salmon lice larvae in fish farms. In small-scale experiments, new infestations of lice were distributed with 20–30% of the number in the experimental groups and 70–80% in the control groups. The project's aim is to optimize, scale up to full scale, and study biological effects using the Norwegian-developed technology Seafarm Pulse Guard (SPG).
